Hi there,

I’m a 26 British Indian who has never visited India but I will be going in December

So why am I fund raising? I want to give back to the local people during my travels, I’ve travelled to a few places wishing that I raised money or that I could do something to help those in need. I expect to see people who live on the streets/ trying to make a living and I want to give back to them. I want to brighten up their day, put food in their stomach and clothes on their back. I’m not naïve, I know there are a lot of beggars in India, but I’ve learnt that those who actively seek you out will be better off than those that are silent and don’t ask for anything. I want to help those that don’t have a voice, those who are actually struggling.

So I’m asking you to help me make a difference to the people on the streets of India, any donation small or big will help towards improving their lives, even if it is for a short period of time. Those that know me, instead of buying me a drink or a meal, why don’t you donate that money to this cause instead. Anything will help make a difference, I know I can’t eradicate poverty but helping those who are in need is the right way to go.
