Through a company called World Challenge, I have signed up for a 2 year programme to take part in an 18 day educational expedition to Vietnam, which will involve trekking through of Vietnam and working on a community project. The community project will involve working alongside local people in the mountainous areas of Vietnam, by either renovating a local school or by building a park for the children or building a well for a efficient supply of clean water. This opportunity is a challenging expedition that will significantly benefit the local community in Vietnam and will teach me valuable life skills such as leadership, communication and team work.
