This is a picture of Nkweshoo Primary School, on the slopes of Kilimanjaro, Tanzania. Sitting at the back is Stella who runs the Cultural Tourism project in Nkweshoo, near Machame, where I spent two days this summer. Part of Stella's dream in setting up the Cultural Tourism project was to raise money for this her local primary school.

I watched this citizenship lesson followed by an English lesson where 6 children crowded eagerly round each old and battered text book. The Head Teacher said that if she had one wish it was more money for books. So I'm hoping as many people as possible will give me money to buy books for this school instead of Christmas presents this year.
