Story

North Lancs Training Group are proudly supporting this “Apprenticeship Charity Football Match” between two of Lancashire’s biggest furniture manufacturers, Plumbs V Tetrad.

It was initially an idea from one of our apprentices, Marcus Schofield. He wanted to set up a Plumbs football team but was unsure who they would compete against. While discussing options, he thought that playing another local company could be a good way to help raise money for charity. We agreed, and so, here we are:

Date: Friday 18th October

Kick Off: 3pm – 5pm

Venue: UCLan Sports Arena, Tom Benson Way, Lea, Preston PR2 1SG.

Supporters are very welcome at the event to witness the “sportsmanship” from both teams.

All donations will be gratefully received and go directly to the Preston Panthers Disability Sports Club. Preston Panthers Disability Sports Club is a non-profit/self funding organisation that helps disabled children and young people aged 5 - 25 years old. The children and young people have a range of disabilities which span the whole spectrum of 'disability' and as such are both visible and non-visible. The club helps the children interact with others and teaches them lots of skills which are beneficial for growing up. They run at West View Leisure Centre, Preston, in the sports hall where the highly trained coaches and volunteers are ready to help members join in and find something they like to do.

May the best team win!
