Story

Welcome to my ‘Support NNAUK build Birthing center in Jumla, Nepal’ fundraising page which I'm running for NNAUK (Nepalese Nurse Association UK) to raise fund for the construction of Birthing centre in Jumla.

This year, I will be running three challenging races to support this incredible project which aims to make pregnancy and childbirth safer in one of the remotest district of Karnali zone in mid-western Nepal where people have very limited access to education and essential medical care. Women and children die due to complications during child birth or least suffer from maternal and neonatal complications like prolong labour, retained placenta and infections.

My races:

Virgin Money London Marathon , April 22nd 2018 ( The London Marathon is run over a largely flat course around the River Thames, and spans 42.195 kilometres.)

50km Ultra Trail - June 10th 2018 ( The Weald Challenge Trail Race follows the long distance paths of the Wealdway and the Vanguard Way and is 85% off-road. )

Chiltern Way Ultra: 100k Distance - August 26th 2018 (The Chiltern Way 100k Ultra is a waymarked route that starts at Little Hampden and goes clockwise along the Chiltern Way loop to finish in Hemel Hempstead.)

Centurion Thames Path 100 miles - May 4th 2019. (The course follows the meandering route of the Thames against it's flow and is flat and fast with the majority on groomed paths/ trails and paved pathway. Runners must finish within a 28 hour time limit. There are strict cut offs at every aid station on route, designed with the purpose of keeping runners on course to finish within the 28 hour limit. )

100 miles will be my longest run to date and hardest challenge and I hope to raise as much as possible for NNAUK for such a worthy cause. To be prepared physically and mentally for such a race is really very tough. It will be very hard and require a lot of planning and time management. While working full-time and managing other commitments, I will have to plan including rest days (best part of the training!), interval workouts, tempo runs, long runs, easy runs and strength training days and mentally prepare myself for a such tough challenge.

Previously, I have ran a few half marathons, a road and trail marathons, two 80k ultra races as well. I also enjoy running tough cross country races and I believe I am ready for the challenge ahead and strong enough to get the job done. Your support will provide the extra motivation to prepare and tackle this massive challenge.

Please do not hesitate to contact me, if you would like to run with me (races or training runs) or if you would like to know how I am training for such races. I would really appreciate all your support and guidance as well. If you would like to donate that would be even better.

You can also follow me and my progress in a Facebook page.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

About NNAUK:

Nepalese Nurse Association UK (NNAUK) is a London base a social campaign established in 2008 with the aim to support and network with all the Nepalese nursing professionals in UK. The charity organises different health activities in Nepal. They have also been actively participating in the community activities providing valuable services in U.K as well as in Nepal and all their past works wouldn't have been possible without your generous help and support.

Now again, NNAUK request your help and support to build "Birthing Centre in Jumla." This project was on hold due to catastrophic earthquake that took place in 2015 and their focus had to be shifted towards reconstruction and rehabilitation. NNAUK understands this is an ambitious project but absolutely achievable with your help and support. Thank you very much for all for your generous donations and supporting NNAUK.

Let's work together for better. NNA UK official website: http://www.nnauk.org/
