NNEdPro Global Institute for Food, Nutrition and Health is an independent and international think tank that believes everyone has the right to good nutrition. As a collective, we influence whole food and health systems across the globe, all underpinned by ground-breaking academic research, from production to consumption and beyond into healthcare.

Through our work we: develop adaptable and scalable educational models for strengthening nutrition capacity in food and health systems; deliver training to food and health systems actors, including healthcare professionals worldwide; and provide direct support to vulnerable families and communities on the ground.

NNEdPro draws on knowledge from over 50 organisational collaborations, including World Health Organization and the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization and works with researchers from six of the world's leading academic institutions on nutrition. Our diverse network spans the social sciences, epidemiology, biomedical and nutrition expertise from the University of Cambridge, Ulster University and Imperial College London, and contributing members from specialist organisations such as the British Dietetic Association, the British Medical Journal, the Laboratory of the Government Chemist, and the Education & Research in Medical Nutrition Network.

The Mobile Teaching Kitchen (MTK) Initiative

With grassroots action research, the MTK trains marginalised women to become microentrepreneurs and culinary health educators, with the potential to improve Nutrition-related Knowledge, Attitudes and Practices (KAP) across multiple sectors of society. By training just 6 women, approximately 3,000 people are being impacted monthly by getting nutritious food as well as nutrition advice from the women, which they further disseminate to their communities. Nutrition Education Policy in Healthcare Practice (NEPHELP)

NEPHELP aims to develop, test, improve and implement nutrition education resources for doctors in hospitals and community settings. We present core nutrition materials to doctors, and other healthcare professionals, taking on board their feedback and tailoring the material and delivery to fit their needs best. Ultimately this allows us to advocate for greater nutrition training in mandatory curricula and support education teams to implement this. Learn more here.

Data Science & Evidence Synthesis Hub

One stream of the NNEdPro Data Science Hub on Nutrition aims to harness the power of data sharing and research partnerships to support more timely and effective CVD risk identification and prevention.
