I’m pushing my body to its limits for those silently pushed to theirs.

On Saturday 16th May 2026, I’ll be taking on the London West Spartan Beast... A 21km course packed with hills, 30+ obstacles, mud, and serious endurance.

This isn’t just a physical challenge. It’s personal.

I’m raising funds to conduct our first ever research project for No Guard Alone, which will help us truly understand and tackle an issue that has been ignored for far too long.

Every day, security professionals work on the frontline. They face violence, threats, long and often isolated shifts, and high-pressure environments, yet the reality is, many are doing this without the support systems they need.

Through No Guard Alone, we are working to change that.

This research project is the first critical step. But to truly understand and address this issue across our industry, it will require tens of thousands of pounds in funding.

That’s why this challenge, and your support, matters so much.

Our research will help us to:

- Understand the scale of mental health and suicide risk within the security profession

- Identify the real challenges people are facing, from lone working to stigma around asking for help

- Build evidence-based solutions that can drive real, industry-wide change

- Develop practical support, guidance, and preventative measures that actually make a difference

Right now, there is very little data on this issue in our sector. That means limited awareness, limited support, and too many people struggling in silence.

This project changes that.

But we can’t do it without funding.

Every donation will go directly towards helping us deliver this research, from developing the survey and engaging with people across the industry, to analysing results and creating actionable recommendations that can shape the future of support for security professionals.

I’ve already been working hard behind the scenes to build No Guard Alone, from developing the concept, engaging stakeholders, shaping partnerships, and laying the foundations for real impact.

Now it’s time to take the next step.

So yes… I’ll be climbing, crawling, running, and probably questioning my life choices somewhere in the mud, but it’s nothing compared to the challenges faced by the people we’re trying to support.
