I've raised £1000 to help people with Cystic Fibrosis esp CF@FP where Simon was so well cared for & Harefield Transplant Appeal that gave him hope & happiness

Hello,
My name is Noah Bolshaw, I am 9 years old and last year my Daddy’s best friend, Simon, died. Simon was awesome, brave, resilient, caring, an epic Lego Master Builder and we all miss him very much. I would like to do some good and raise some money to help people with Cystic Fibrosis (Simon’s illness) by running a half marathon on 14th December (one week after my 10th birthday).
Simon had an ambition to run the London Marathon and I love to run with my Dad so a running event seems special and a good thing to do. And Daddy is even going to run in Simon’s running shoes that he didn’t get to use. I should also say that I’m too young to enter an official half marathon so we will be running the Winchester half marathon course with supervision.
Simon and I were great friends. Whenever he came to our house we would be head over heals about new Lego sets and which ones were the best. Lego was very important to Simon because he spent a lot of time in hospital and Lego was the one thing he could do to take his mind off everything else. I remember when he came round and saw my Batmobile. There was also the time when he gave Batman's Tumbler to me which he had spent many, many hours building in hospital. It is now my proudest possession. Simon was so kind and made me and my brother a Lego Snowtrooper minifigure picture with a golden one in the middle. It now hangs on my wall.
I want to raise money for CF@FP at Frimley Park Hospital where Simon was so well looked after and cared for and the Harefield Transplant Appeal that gave him so much hope and happiness. I hope one day there will be a cure and people with Cystic Fibrosis can live longer and better lives.
Thank you for reading and your kind donations.
