Melanie and I were friends for over 15 years. We lived beside each other, had babies at the same time (the boys say they are practically cousins because they were born on the same day!) and she was one of my closest friends. Melanie fought the agressive breast cancer she was diagonsed with while still living life to the full, but lost this fight in September last year. Her brilliant sisters have set up a charity in her name and i am doing my bit to try to raise a bit of money to help fight the awful disease that took Melanie away from us all far too soon.
