Story

I'm going to shave my hair off which has been growing for probs 4 years now. I thought I may as well make it into an occasion and try to get some money to a good cause!

I'm going to be donating my hair to a charity which makes natural wigs for cancer sufferers undergoing chemo therapy. Making wigs for children and young people can be and extremely positive experience giving them back a sense of their identity. "Not-fitting-in" can be extremely difficult for some patients and this charity helps those people. I will post the details of this charity separately.

I'm also going to trying to raise a bit of cash for doing it! I'll be donating everything to BloodyGoodPeriod. This is a Leeds/London-based charity which sources and donates sanitary products to asylum seeker centres. They're also aiming to start supplying food banks in the near future. This cause really speaks for itself - for me, we do not live in a fair society if young girls have to miss out on fundamentals such as education just because of a lack of access to basic sanitation (which should be free anyway).

I'll stream the big shave live either this Sunday or the following Sunday depending on how much cash I raise - so y'all can laugh at me.

The top three highest donors will also receive a lock of my hair - this prize is optional (please do not be put off donating by this prize).
