I'm raising £750 for my non-profit Birthday Stars Project to cover party entertainer costs and volunteer expenses for 3 months.

This will be for February, March and April whilst we await/ apply for grant applications.

We host a party once a month on site at a temporary accommodation centre in Fallowfield and families from two other centres are invited too.

These families are going through traumatic and stressful times and we love to alleviate a bit of pressure from parents/ carers by organising a free party for all children from the three centres and bringing Birthday cake donations.

For transparency, our volunteer party hosts give 4 hours per party and we aim to offer £10 for their travel expenses.

Our volunteer face painters receive a little more to cover their travel expenses but also to top up face paints and materials. We aim to pay the volunteer face painter £20 per party.

This project started in 2017 when I won initial funding. It is my passion and way to give back after receiving support by Women's Aid and refuge accommodation myself.
