Welcome to Norfolk Hang Gliding and Paragliding Club.

The Norfolk Hang Gliding and Paragliding club was established in the spring of 1975. We run a very active tow facility for paragliders, hangliders and paracenders in Little Fransham in Norfolk, which can take wind from almost any direction. If the weather is flyable chances are we will be flying!

In order for us to operate and fly we rely on our two paragliding winches to get us airbourne. We have two Koch winches which have served us well over the years however these are now showing their ages and maintenance is getting ever more expensive and parts increasingly harder to find. 2017 saw a time where both winches were out of action. with this in mind we want to obtain a lower cost payout winch in order to keep up in the air when either of the other winches are in for maintainence or repair.

We are now looking at the feasibility of updating our winches to modern equivilents however these specialist pieces of equipment attract a specilist price tag of around £35k Each and way beyond our budget!

An alternitive is a payout winch which can be obtained at a fraction of the price, these are simpler systems can be fitted to a vehicle or quadbike as pictured.

We therefore would like to put out an appeal for support to help us secure a replacement winch. Any donations to help this cause would be greatly appreiciated and will help NHGPC continue to grow for the future.
