NORTHCHAPEL SPORTS CLUB NEEDS YOUR SUPPORT TO BUILD AN ALL WEATHER SPORTS COURT!

There has been growing interest amongst the community to provide an all-weather sports court for all to use.

Therefore we are proposing to build a MUGA (Multi-Use Games Area) on the currently un-used area of land adjacent to the Village Hall. This is the perfect spot for children and adults to play a variety of sports all year round.

These excellent facilities will help the Sports Club to offer a wider variety of sporting opportunities, at a more improved level, for our community.

The school would also be able to use this asset (at dedicated times) thereby extending their sporting curriculum.

Following an enormous amount of positive feedback from pre-planning we would like to proceed with submitting a full planning application. This is where we need your help please. There are a significant amount of costs involved as we have to finance various surveys and reports to successfully get through planning. To get out of the starting blocks we need to raise a minimum of £3000 to cover the initial costs.

Once planning has been accepted we will need to finance the build of the MUGA. We have put this out to tender and estimated costs are in the region of £100K. For this we have a created a committee who will raise a large proportion of these funds through grants alongside smaller more local events. But we can’t get to this stage without your immediate help.

Please can you dig deep and donate to this fantastic opportunity. Our deadline to raise this money is the end of April. Any surplus donations will be put aside for future development and maintenance costs involved with the MUGA.
