The collective was put together with one simple goal - the have the opportunity to give back to the local community via local charities. All the members are either DJ’s, Live Artists, Dancers or Suppliers to the Asian Wedding Industry. Why Northern Collective - we wanted the group to reflect the enormous amount of skills and talent that have got their roots from outside the M25 circle and outside the bubbling pot of Birmingham but have just as much, if not more, to give to the Asian wedding and Music Industry. Some of the members do now work outside of North but we want to celebrate all members who are either Born ‘up-North’ of have been brought up ‘in the North’.

We are supporting two organisations who help to feed vulnerable people.

Sikh Sport UK are a NON PROFIT organisation who have adapted very quickly during the Covid19 Pandemic. They have suspended their normal health and wellbeing activities to serve the community with food, shopping, a shop-and-drop service, shopping vouchers and hot food.

Homeless Hampers are also a NON PROFIT campaign for those on the streets of Yorkshire. They aim to provide the roofless with the essentials they need to make their lives that little bit easier. They want to challenge the public perception of the homeless and promote positive engagement with the vulnerable.
