Story

Undivided Pictures with JR Theatre are producing 'Nor Woman Neither' which will be performed at Tristan Bates Theatre 26th November-12th December 2019. The play is written and performed by Ingrid Schiller and Verity Kirk, both RADA graduates who premiered the play at RADA Festival 2018. Our director is Stephen Doolan, who is an exciting emerging director who trained at Drama Centre, London. His incredible eye for detail and knife edge twist of comedy into drama and vice-versa has made this a darkly comic and enjoyable rollercoaster of a show.

“Nor Woman Neither" follows the life of Laura, who at the beginning of play has a particular choice to make and asks herself how she ended up in this situation. Flashing back through nominal moments in her life, we ask the audience to put themselves in her shoes and make up their own minds on what they think she should choose...

What makes our play unique is that we leave the judging to you - we intensely dislike being told what to think when watching plays. And we don’t make it easy for you: compelling men, highly competitive women and our lead character Laura who, desperate for approval, creates havoc wherever she goes.

We're inviting you to 'give the gift of theatre' to people who wouldn't normally be able to fully benefit from such a night. We've concentrated on two different groups of people who we believe are normally excluded from The Arts:

Low income households

The Blind or visually impaired

Your money will go directly towards paying for these people to attend the show, as well as making sure we work closely with audio describers and script specialists to make sure it is as accessible as possible. We're hoping for at least 20% of each audience to be made up with audience who have been gifted a ticket.

£30 would give tickets for two people to attend.

£100 would give time with an audio describer and script specialist to finalise the adaptations needed.

Last year we produced a successful Theatre night for carers in London and the feedback we received was over whelming. It appears there are pockets of society that still remain unnoticed when it comes to the creative arts and we want to help and change this.

Thank you for reading and please get in contact if you have any questions or know anyone that might benefit from this crowd funding.
