I've raised £3000 to help replace worn out band equipment with light weight units that are suitable for our junior band members.

Junior marching bands where born from children wanting to follow their parents in colliery bands.
Instruments were put together from scrap, including the comb and paper kazoo.
Time has passed and some of these bands still exist and compete. Nottingham Tartanaires was formed in 1981 and has continued to instruct, improve and help junior members in the Nottingham area.
We are all volunteers and fundraising and donations are used to replace equipment, uniforms etc so that we can continue to provide this hobby.
We are currently having new uniforms made for next year's competitions and would love to see our members go out with new shiny instruments that are lighter for them to carry
They are the musicians of the future and we aim to inspire them.
Any help will be appreciated by the fundraising committee but mostly the band members who are always proud to March and play.
