I've raised £2000 to fund the rehabilitation of abandoned foals Nova & Ember, just months old.

On the 23rd of October, our friends at The Retreat Animal Shelter (https://www.facebook.com/retreatrescuedequine/) in Kent were called to help at a mass abandonment case - as well as many adult ponies dumped, they discovered a field with seven foals in it, the youngest just two months old. No mothers in sight. Despite being full to capacity, The Retreat team could not rest knowing these babies were outside, alone, and certainly would not survive the winter without their mothers or expert care.
SAFE were happy to offer to take the youngest two foals. Despite being full, these little ones won't take much room, and will eventually be perfect playmates for our darling Luis. They arrived at our Vets on 31st October and will join us at SAFE HQ on 4th November.
Both boys are completely feral and untrusting. Ember is the smallest and youngest. He is underweight, has a mild chest infection and conjunctivitis, and really should be with his mum at only two months old. He is on antibiotics. Nova is around three months and is doing well in comparison. Both boys have started to take special feed and hay from the vet nurses.
