Story
The National Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine will be returning to the UK following their hugely successful tour in autumn 2023 which included a special performance in Westminster as recognition of their importance as a cultural institution and bravery during the conflict. This time they are embarking on an 8-date UK and Ireland concert tour in March 2026.
The orchestra is one of Ukraine’s oldest cultural organisations and has long been one of the most distinguished European orchestras and has achieved world-wide recognition over its 100-year history. Still based in Kyiv, it is continuing to perform despite the current conflict taking place in the country. The orchestra and its musicians have experienced tremendous turmoil and financial challenges, but every day they resolutely continue with their determination to bring music to the people of Kyiv to increase morale and provide respite in a time of trouble.
There has been tremendous support given to the people of Ukraine militarily, politically and culturally since the invasion began in February 2022 but, with hostilities still continuing three and a half years on, it is vital that we continue to support the rich, musical culture of Ukraine.
IMG and the 8 concert venues supporting the tour are aiming to raise additional funds for the orchestra alongside their concert tour to ensure their future livelihood and support their families.
All donations however small or large will be gratefully received. The Just Giving appeal will remain open until Friday 1 May 2026, when all proceeds will be donated directly to the orchestra to support their work.
