I'm raising £5000 to support Eye Care for Africa in their life changing work in East Africa.

*My Brother Is Walking the Length of the UK to Help Restore Sight*
In June 2025, my brother, Niall McCormack, will walk from Land’s End to John O’Groats to raise funds for cataract surgeries in Tanzania. No donation is too small, and every penny will make a difference. £50 needed for cataract surgery can restore someone’s vision. Please support him – every step brings someone closer to seeing the world again.
Niall was born in St Helens, Merseyside, and trained as an optometrist at UMIST before emigrating to New Zealand in 1989. In 2017, he founded Eye Care For Africa to bring essential eye care to marginalised communities in Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, and Kenya.
In 2023, Niall walked the full length of New Zealand – 3,000km – raising over £10,000 to establish the Shinyanga Eye Clinic in Tanzania.
Now, he’s taking on the UK’s equivalent – the LEJOG challenge – walking from Land’s End to John O’Groats. Funds raised will help equip the clinic for cataract surgery and cover the cost of operations. Just £50 pays for one life-changing procedure.
Please help my brother continue this vital work – your donation can help someone see again.
