*FULLY FUNDED*
A GREAT BIG THANK YOU TO YOU ALL.

I am on a mission to make a Nunroyd Natter Bench reality but I need your help! Yes I could stick a quick sign on an existing bench in our beautiful Nunroyd Park, but something permanent means so much more.

What is it?
A bench where folks that are happy to chat can sit.

Aims?

reduce feelings of loneliness and social isolation

reduce mental health stigma and discrimination

promote inclusion and community spirit

provide a free space to encourage conversation for those who may not have access to other community areas e.g. work (please Google Bench Project).

With a quote of £750-£900 from Leeds City Council for a bench and plaque, I can only make it happen with funding support.

Councillors Pat and Graham Latty have very kindly offered to pay £200 each out of MICE money directly to Parks and Countryside which leaves around £500 to raise.

Can you help please?

Lisa

About me:
After being bereaved by suicide in 2017 I founded Mental Wellbeing Meetups (facebook.com/mentalhealthevents) and launched it with the Men's Mental Health Event, the first of its kind in Leeds, as part of Mental Health Awareness Week 2018.

I'm a trustee and director for Leeds Survivor Led Crisis, a Time To Change Champion and volunteer for Leeds Suicide Bereavement Service.

I'm also self employed as a humanist celebrant and petsitter, a mum and wife, and Yeadon born and bred :)
