I've raised £550 to help fund a nurdle machine

We all know that plastic pollution is a global crisis. We work hard locally to keep our beaches clean by picking up the litter we see. The concerning bit is what we can’t see, or what we don’t see so obviously and that is microplastic (nurdles).
The Nurdle machine is designed to capture the smaller stuff. Nurdles are some of the worst ocean plastic pollutants there are, and pose a far greater threat than a plastic bottle to wildlife. They are often ingested by fish, who mistake them for floating fish eggs or birds, who pick at the tideline in search of maggots and larvae in the seaweed.
I‘ve seen first hand the amount of microplastic there is on our beach and i can‘t remove the amount i’d like to without help. Below are some photos of what i have found and collected by using a pair of tweezers and a seive. That took a collective time of 1 hour, so imagine what the nurlde could capture in that time!
