Teach For India (TFI) provides individuals with an opportunity to serve as full-time teachers to children from low income communities in some of the nation's most under resourced schools. Through this experience of teaching in classrooms and working with key education stakeholders like students, principals and parents, as a volunteer I will be exposed to the grassroots realities of India's education system.

76% of students do not make it to a higher education system
17% of teachers are absent from school on any given day
45% of schools do not have a usable girls toilet

Education is such an important factor in every child’s upbringing – be it academic, sporting, social or life in general. Having been blessed to be able to have a university education, following two full time working roles since graduation, I now feel a sense of duty to impart what I have learnt from my experiences. I consider myself to be a person full of laughter and extremely fun- loving; these are the two main qualities I would like to incorporate with the academic.
