Story

In october 2018 I am volunteering on a nursing placement in Tanzania, Africa.

The work will include working in extreme conditions. The cost of the trip is around £3,500 .this is due to the high levels of insurance, vaccinations, flights and supplies needed.

As some of you may know there is a high demand for treatment of many life threatning medical conditions and diseases in Africa which include; AIDS, maleria, cholera, hepatitis, ebola and many more. Tanzania is among many of the places which lacks medical supplies, resources and nursing staff in Africa Which compromises lives every single day. Here in the UK we are fortunate enough to have access to a healthcare system which enables us to receive treament for many conditions. For example; an infection which requires antibiotics is sometimes as easy as a visit to the doctors. In tanzani the supply of antibiotics is extremely low and therefore many people do not recieve the required treament to survive.

Please with your support and generosity, help us to raise enough money to not only help towards our costs for the trip (vaccinations, insurances and medical supplies we need) but to donate to the hospital for resources.

This experience will not only provide us with a further understanding of the struggles the country is experiencing in relation to the lack of medical supplies but will also enable us to share our skills and experiences with the Locals in tanzania, as well as gaining an insight to culture Within Tanzania and transfering this knowledge to improve communication here in the UK.

Please help support our cause to enable us to make a difference whilst in africa and to also share the experiences here in the UK.
