    Story

We are a team of 7 gymnasts aged between 12 and 15 years old, from NW Rhythmic GB squad. We are the current British Junior Champions and we have just received the exciting news that we have been selected for the Great Britain Junior Squad. This is an amazing opportunity for us and our club; we will now not only be competing nationally but potentially representing Great Britain internationally, with the ultimate goal of competing at the European Championships in Azerbaijan and the World Cup in Spain in the coming months.

The squad originally started with gymnasts from Preston but towards the end of last year other gymnasts were recruited from rhythmic gymnastics clubs nationwide. Our team now comprises of gymnasts from Blackpool, Preston, Manchester and London. We train 6 days a week, after school and every weekend. Despite the difficulty of us all being in different locations, with the support of our parents and coaches we have found a way to train together, even with the distance. We train on average 25 hours each week and spend a lot of time travelling, but it will be worth every minute to make our dream come true.

In order for us to be successful in our journey it is going to involve a number of costs. We have to raise funding for training camps at GB headquarters in Lilleshall, new training kits, equipment, competition leotards, as well as the travel, food and accommodation costs for the international competitions.

We are trying to raise as much as we can ourselves through car washes, dog walks, supermarket bag packing, cake sales and raffles but unfortunately the money we are raising isn't going to cover what we need to support us.

We hope you can see our dedication and passion for rhythmic gymnastics and would be so grateful if you could donate to our cause and help support our dream of representing our country in the sport we love!
