Story
I’m doing two skydives in one week — dressed like James Bond! — to raise £1,000 for North Wales Prostate Cancer Support Group. ALSO - now helping to arrange a free to enter (donation welcome) gig at Tafarn Yr Iorwerth, Bryngwran, to raise a little more. Raffle prizes, live music and merriment to be had, so come along for a great time!
Prostate cancer is now the most commonly diagnosed cancer in the UK, and around 1 in 8 men will get it in their lifetime. In Wales, it is the most common cancer in men, with over 2,500 men diagnosed every year, and Public Health Wales reported 624 deaths from prostate cancer in 2024.
Behind every statistic is a husband, father, brother, son, friend or colleague — and local support can make a huge difference.
Your donation will help a local group that supports men and their families who have recently been diagnosed with prostate cancer, have gone through treatment, or simply need someone to talk to. Their meetings are often attended by Cancer Specialists from Ysbyty Gwynedd and Ysbyty Glan Clwyd, helping people get information, reassurance and support when they need it most.
Every donation helps keep that support going. It helps raise awareness, encourages important conversations and testing, supports local men, and reminds people they don’t have to face prostate cancer alone.
Thank you so much for donating what you can — it could make a massive difference to a family near you, if not your own some day (but hopefully not). ❤️
