Who is Nyami Studio?

Nyami Studio's mission revolves around empowering rural communities through knowledge sharing via NGOs, schools, and workshops. We place a strong emphasis on education that integrates real-life situations, providing a collaborative platform for solutions, and advocating for the significance of sustainable, carbon-zero designs and their long-term benefits.

After two successful projects in Pakistan (read about those Projects here), our next project will support the community of Adams Town in the North of the Philippines. Help Us Build a Library for Adams Central Elementary School!

The Need for a Dedicated Library

Adams Central Elementary School’s library is currently a repurposed classroom that doubles as storage, limiting both teaching space and access to vital resources. A dedicated library would provide a quiet, focused environment for students to learn, explore new subjects, and develop critical thinking skills.

A Transformative Learning Space

For the children of Adams, a new library would be a game-changer. It would spark a love of reading, support academic growth, and become a hub for educational activities that benefit both students and the wider community. This new space would allow students to engage more effectively in their studies, creating a positive impact across the town.

Education as a Beacon of Hope in Adams

Adams, a 5th-class municipality in Ilocos Norte, faces high poverty rates. Despite this, the community believes in education’s power to break the cycle of poverty and create brighter futures. However, limited resources make it difficult to provide the quality education the children deserve.

A Personal Connection to Adams Central Elementary

Nyami’s support for this project is deeply personal. One of our founders has a strong connection to the school through his grandfather, Lolo Jose, who began his teaching career there. Lolo Jose, affectionately known as “Lolo Joe,” was a beloved teacher, and many of the school’s current educators were once his students.
