Unique in Europe, the National Youth Harp Orchestra of GB offers an incomparable opportunity to experience the timeless fascination of the harp. It was founded by award-winning harpist Luisa-Maria Cordell as a non-profit making organisation, to bring harpists from all over the UK together, as the experience of a harpist can often be a solitary one.

Our Orchestra has 33 members and we are all dedicated to bringing ‘The Magic of a Thousand Strings’ to a wider public. We have a wonderful time playing for community events, as well as charity fund-raising events across UK and Europe. Written harp orchestra music is very limited and we now need music written for us. To this end we have been offered an amazing opportunity to have a piece written for us by a leading and eminent composer. We would also love to record a CD with this piece and other cherished works which have given us and our audience members so much pleasure. With a CD we can share our beautiful music with a wider audience.
