Story

Oak Manor is a residential care home which supports up to 64 older people, including those who are living with dementia.

Most of us have been affected by dementia one way or another. The staff team here at Oak Manor strive to provide the best possible care to all of the residents and are now looking to raise funds to help enhance the overall wellbeing of the people who use our service.

With the money raised, we aim to provide activities and entertainment which help to promote meaningful engagement. We aim to buy interactive tables, activities that promote reminiscence, activities that promote independence and sensory equipment which helps to nurture each individual person's body, mind and spirit.

As a home and as a team, we aim to be a big part of the community. Fundraising like this enables us to achieve this. If you do make a pledge - no matter how big or small - please accept an enormous THANK YOU from everyone here at Oak Manor. If you find yourself in a position where you are not able to pledge, please please do your bit to help and share share share with your family and friends. This is running for eight weeks - even one share will raise awareness and could lead to somebody else contributing.

We are not expecting to raise the £10,000 we are asking for, but anything that is contributed will be extremely appreciated. We will also reward any contributor who pledges £10, £25, £50 or £100 to our Dementia Project.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read this and making a pledge to our cause.
