Weʼre raising £1,500 to help Oaklands disabled children’s respite center in Newport buy new therapeutic equipment for disabled short term respite users to access.
Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.
The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.
Oakland’s is a short break house which provides planned overnight short breaks for children and young people with severe disability. The age range is up to 17 years and a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment is provided
Oakland’s also provide a day service for children and young people with severe disability. The length of stay will vary but will not exceed 1 week.
Oaklands has limited funding, but plays a vital role in the community, giving much needed respite to families who have the constant challenge and pressure of caring for a disabled child.
Arriva Trains Wales are proud to again be supporting Oaklands and will be riding from Chester to Oaklands in July.
