Oakley Pre-school was formed in 1968 and since 1972 has been in rented premises adjoined to Oakley Methodist Church, the time has come however for the pre-school to move to a new purpose-built facility.
Since 2012, staff, committee members and interested parties have been working hard to fundraise for what will be a state-of-the-art custom-built, educational setting for pre-school age children in Oakley and the surrounding area.
The facility will be a sustainable, eco-friendly, purpose built building enabling children to learn about the environment with access to outdoor spaces. Indoors there will be a provision for 40 children (an increase of 16 places per session) in bright and airy rooms. Outdoors we plan to develop a wildflower meadow and a pond area to create a habitat for an array of wildlife. The outdoor space will also include a forest school, den building, fire pit, natural climbing area and a vegetable patch. We will also have space for our chickens and hope to be able to hand rear lambs each spring.
So far, £440,000 has been raised towards the new building and the initial stages of the new construction have started on site. Notwithstanding the fantastic fundraising that has already taken place we still need to raise an additional £80,000 to ensure we can complete the project
Oakley Pre-school are seeking donations (large or small) which would help us reach our final target.

Thank you in advance for your continued support of Oakley Pre-school. Any and all donations will ensure that we can continue to provide exceptional facilities to our local families now and in the future.
