Ilfracombe's Oarsome Appeal!

Ilfracombe Pilot Gig Club is in desperate need of your help! We have had our beautiful pilot gig boat Rapparee for 10 years and it has done us proud in many training sessions and races. However, it is now in urgent need of repair as she has several broken ribs. We also have oars which need repairing. We usually carry out repairs ourselves (we are currently cleaning and painting our fibre glass boats) but the damage the boat and oars have sustained over time needs specialist work.

The boat repairs will cost approximately £3,250, the oars £850 and we also need a new set of trollies with which we transport the boat to the water. These will cost £700.We are desperate to get these repairs carried out before the next racing season which begins in March.
