Overdale Equestrian Centre is the UK home base of Mary Wanless - author, coach, and creator of the ‘Ride With Your Mind’ approach to developing riding skills. She holds her Rider Biomechanics courses at Overdale and around the world. Karin Major runs the riding school at Overdale EC, offering Rider Biomechanics lessons and training throughout the year. We have a team of 9 school horses.

As we go into Covid Lockdown 3 we are seeking your support to help us feed our team of school horses. The Winter months are always the most challenging of the year. The grass has stopped growing and our horses are dependant on roughage, supplied as hay or haylage, and supplemented by hard feed and balancers. Under normal circumstances this feed, along with farrier and veterinary fees, is paid for from the income from lessons. Lockdown has prohibited any lessons or courses and hence our income. The British Horse Society advise it can cost up to £40 a week to care for just one horse.

Mary Wanless started recording a series of Podcasts in Lockdown 1, and there are already 40 episodes available. Mary is planning to continue recording more episodes throughout Lockdown 3.
