I am raising money to support my old childhood friend who lives and works in Latvia and is in need of an urgent heart surgery. Her heart valve doesnt pump blood as it should do and she feels frequently short of breath and unable to breath resulting in 999 calls on a daily basis. Cost of surgery in Latvia is 2000EUR which she can not afford due to low paid job and frequent off sick days as health serfices there are not for free. Unfortunately she also fell into rent arrears and could lose her accomodation due to that so the money we rais will go towards the surgery and any immediate expenses like rent and food during the recovery period. She is a single hard working mum to a teenage girl and would appreciate any help possible.
