Over 100,000 people used food banks for the first time during lockdown this year, and each day The Trussle Trust donated 2,600 food parcels to hungry children. Locally, the consequences of the pandemic are being felt as an already stretched charity is now reaching its capacity & food banks that would normally rely on goodwill and support are not getting as much donations. We known it isn't right that anyone should be left hungry or in extreme poverty. We want to help do our bit by raising money to help fund much needed food parcels locally during the hard winter months, and supporting our local community by helping those in need, get back on their feet.

At Old Courts Vets, normally every Christmas we work with the local community to have a HUGE drive to donate to those that are most in need. We have the most generous & kind-hearted individuals locally, and people always dig-deep. Local lockdowns however are making this much harder than normal. So, working with the local community we came up with a fab idea to host an online raffle!

We are so proud that our local and independent businesses have come together to donate to this amazing cause. We have nearly £2,500 worth of prizes up for grabs, and some of the prizes are very generous!

We are running the raffle from Sunday 29th November - Saturday 12th December 2020, with winners to be contacted and announced on Sunday 13th. Tickets are £1, and you can buy as many as you wish! All proceeds go to buying food parcels for the Scunthorpe Foodbank. Tickets are for sale on the JustGiving website, and in person at Old Courts Vets, Brigg as well as The Rabbit Hole Bookshop in Brigg.

We hope to raise enough money to provide weekly food parcels through to January.
