I've been running my award-winning Launchpad programme for over 7 years and have helped many people who were either unemployed or facing redundancy to get their lives back on track.

Now I want to take it one step further by helping people aged 50+ to explore the possibility of setting up in business or to achieve a career change.

That career change may be moving from the corporate sector to the charity sector. It may be moving from a job you've always done to the one you actually want to do!

There's loads of support and help for younger people that want to set up in business but very little for the older person.

Yet who has the most experience to offer?

Yes, the older person!

With a combination of information, advice and guidance, OLDERPRENEUR will help older people to set themselves on that path to running their own business and being the master of their own destiny.

No more being told by others what to do!

A chance to follow that dream.

OLDERPRENEUR will also have a recruitment arm helping businesses employ older more experienced members of staff that can bring a great deal of knowledge to their business.

Equally, OLDERPRENEUR will help those older people that would rather stay in employment to find new opportunities.

I am seeking funding here to develop websites for olderpreneur.eu and olderpreneurservices.co.uk and to get the initial information, advice and guidance modules written and in place. I also need to engage with other support agencies that will work in collaboration with OLDERPRENEUR.

I already have some interest from charities involved in this sector and also need to develop links with entrepreneurial organisations.

I will use my network of 13,000 connections on LinkedIn, 5,000 followers on Twitter, and 2,000 friends on Facebook to provide the links I need.
