Oldham eagles are fundraising to provide further nets to increase development for the children who train and play within our club. We are lucky to have access to a great facility, but there are only 2 nets in the training venue and at one time we can have upto 60 children using them. We are hoping and fundraising to supply a further 4 nets, this will give the children the ability to split training and intern give them a better quality of training. We believe passionately that while were providing training sessions that have now increased to 3/4 times a week (including development session for younger children) that were keeping children active, healthy, entertained and off the street. Basketball is giving them a passion, whilst giving them achievable goals and also instilling discipline. Our focus is DEVELOPMENT we seek to give the children playing within our club a focus. Starting as a player learning life skills, development, training, discipline , Respectful Conduct and structure. The opportunity to develop through the pathway of learning to become a referee, Table Official, Assistant Coach, Committee member and eventually coach then Maybe Head Coach at a club that has developed them.
