I've raised £2000 to inspire philanthropy to help more people in need

Philanthropy when nurtured allows to raise more funds to help people in crisis. The Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement works tirelessly to build a culture in which people are inspired to give to us and to trust us. The Red Cross and Red Crescent constantly require to find solutions to the big problems they are dealing with every day. This demands a reliable supply of money to allow us to achieve our noble missions. The missions that will ensure that no one is left behind, that people in crisis are not ignored, that they have the same life opportunities as people who are not affected by the humanitarian crises. Fundraising is a key tool to promote the culture of philanthropy in societies which is founded on truth, openness and on the imperative to helping others. Yet, fundraising development and philanthropy development are yet to gain proper recognition and support. I am running this half-marathon to raise awareness that philanthropy and fundraising development are adequate for support and to raise money to contribute to the International Federation of Red Cross and Crescent Societies' fundraising development programmes.
