Hello
I'm one of 36 Scouts from Shropshire and Gloucestershire who have been selected to represent Shropshire Scouting at the World Scouting Jamboree in West Virginia - USA in 2019.
The World Scout Jamboree is held every four years; it is the biggest gathering of young people in the World. This is a 2 week camping experience like no other! I will be joining young people from over 200 countries to celebrate Scouting, focus on Global Development and fostering Peace through respect and mutual understanding of each other’s cultures. Due to its size, it also makes the world’s largest United Nations Peace Conference.
To attend I will need to raise a total of £3,700. 10% of this will enable Scouts and Explorers from disadvantaged countries also to attend. I am planning on a number of fundraising activities and events which I will post about over the coming months.
