Story
Oliver is 4 years old and has Conradi-Hünnerman-Happle Syndrone. The condition is usually fatal in boys with most not surviving past a few months gestation. Oliver is one of a couple of boys in the world who has survived with this condition. He has multiple brain abnormalities including Agenesis of the Corpus Callosum, small cerebellum, small brain stem, enlarged cisterna magna, lissencephaly and small optic nerves. He also has ichthyosis and a couple of bone malformations. As a result, Oliver has global development delay, epilepsy, hypotonia, dystonia, delayed swallow reflex, dysphagia, reflux and is partially sighted. He has had multiple admissions to A&E via ambulance due to seizures and aspiration pneumonia.
Despite all of this, Oliver is such a happy little boy. He brings so much happiness to everyone who meets him.
Oliver needs full support in every aspect of his life - moving, sitting, eating, drinking, playing and our aim is to help him to be as independent as possible.
Oliver has been taking part in weekly private physiotherapy sessions at Kid's Physio Works since January and we have seen a huge improvement in his development. His head control and core control have greatly improved. An hours physiotherapy costs £77. Over the course of a year this is over £4000 so we would really appreciate any help you could give in raising the funds for Oliver's therapy.
We will be holding various fundraising events throughout the year and will be posting regular updates on Oliver progress! You can also check out his Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/pg/oliversstoryacc
