Story

On behalf of my uncle Oliver Lennon, Oliver has asked one final thing from me to help him raise money for the MacMillan Unit at Antrim Area Hospital.

MacMillan and the work they do is breathtaking. At a time when your breaths are short and few, MacMillan helps you breathe in every sense. When you are tired and weak, MacMillan are your strength. After a sudden diagnosis of Stage 4 Cancer in late August 2022, MacMillan very quickly became the backbone I soon realised I needed. Months and weeks were promised to be short, and with the support of MacMillan those promised months and weeks have been lived as fully as I can.

Without MacMillan, neither I or those who have shared this one last journey with me, could have made it without MacMillan in our corner. When you think no one understands and no one cares, MacMillan and their wonderful people do, they do whatever it takes to support me and anyone living with cancer.

I have one last request, that you promise me with all our help, the work of MacMillan will continue and be promised to others for a very long time after many us aren’t here to make sure MacMillan are supported in the same way they support so many. I have set this page up, for all donations, no matter how big or how small to support the social, emotional and practical support services provided by the MacMillan Unit at Antrim Aera Hospital. In advance, I thank you for helping me ensure my memory lives on and together we will make a difference to people in Northern Ireland living with Cancer 💚
