This page is to raise money in honour of Maria Opuni, a truly one-of-a-kind lady - a wife, a sister, and a mother.

Maria battled fiercely with Multiple Myeloma for six years. Devastatingly, in July 2025, she was also diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia. After fighting her biggest battle and spending nearly three months in the hospital, she came home. It was then that we learned she had reached the end of her journey.

With the incredible support of Rotherham General Hospital, The Royal Hallamshire, and Rotherham Hospice, Maria passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her family, after being given the very best possible care and chance.

All funds raised will be donated in Maria’s name to the three foundations mentioned above, as a heartfelt thank you for their dedication, compassion, and tireless work - and for giving us as much precious time with our Maria as possible. They truly were born for their roles, and where we can support them, we will - forever and always.
