Story

In memory of Oliver "Ollie" Lowe.
I first met Ollie about 18 months ago in JD gyms in middleton, me and my brother was both training in there at the time when he walked in. Needless to say we both turned our heads and looked at each other and said wow whos that guy. We had never seen someone in a local gym in such amazing physical shape. He belonged on stage.
Soon we all got talking and became friends. We all loved bodybuilding and had lots of interests in the same things such as music, sense of humour and the same bodybuilding legends including Zyzz.
It became apparent through talking that Ollie was a really genuine all round lovely guy, he was always polite and had time for anyone that came up to him. And lots of people did because of the way he looked. He was always offering training advice to newbies and oldies alike. Just a really nice guy. Here's a quote from what his friend Dean said about him.
"From his frame I was shocked to discover how much of a caring, loving and compassionate person was underneath. We became very close friends right off the bat. Trained almost everyday together which progressed into being close friends. So close in fact it was a running joke that we were going to run off together".

During the last six months we trained quite a lot together and got quite close and had various chats about stuff including how he was struggling with his personal life and mental health.
To look at him you wouldn't of believed that he was struggling in his own mind.
Sadly everything must have gotten too much for Oliver and he decided to take his own life.
Everyone is devastated by his passing.
What i have learnt from this is not to judge a book by its cover. More Men need to talk. So if you are struggling please just talk to someone.
Oliver will be sorely missed by everyone that knew him. He was one of the most gentle, kind and caring guys that I had the pleasure to call a friend.

I will miss you brother

Rest in peace Ollie ❤️😔
