Story
Our family was shocked to its core 6 weeks ago when our precious little niece Olive had, what we have learnt now to be, a stroke! Her mum and dad have been through hell and back the last few weeks, with Covid making it a lot harder! Olive is a warrior, there is no other word to describe her. Through everything she has been through she has managed to try and smile. Even after a 7hour brain operation she still gave us all a thumbs up on FaceTime.
Olive has been accepted to a rehab centre called Tadworth which is run by an amazing charity called The Children’s Trust. Where she will stay for 12 weeks of intense physio and therapy. The bad news is there is a waiting list to go to Tadworth and all the advice given is that time can’t be wasted with a brain injury and the NHS do not offer the emergency rehab that Olive needs.
If any of you know Tom and Gemma well enough you will know how caring, hard working, selfless people they are! If we can just help them in the slightest with olives care then we are doing our bit!
This is where we come in. On May 1st Liam is going to be riding from Great Ormond Street to Hainault Forest to help raise money to fund Olives care. It is 20 miles and some family will be joining him for stints along the way.
If you could please donate anything at all to help this amazing family but, more importantly, our little Olive we would be forever grateful!
