    Story

Hi Everyone! Firstly, thank you so much for clicking this link and if you’re thinking of or have donated I’m even more grateful!

On the 5th of December 2020 which would’ve been Victoria’s birthday, I will be slightly terrifyingly skydiving to raise money for Gosset Ward.

For those of you that are unaware, Victoria, my aunt, passed away in April this year. Tory, as I called her, suffered a cardiac arrest whilst pregnant with my cousin Charlie in 2014. She had a significant downtime and was left with an extremely severe brain injury. From this, Tory went from being a completely normal person to living in a care home where she was in a minimally conscious to vegetative state. This left her unable to walk/talk/eat etc.

Charlie, my cousin, was born the evening of the trauma. He was looked after in Gosset Ward who throughout gave such incredible care and support, however he sadly passed away two days later.

At 11 years old I lost not only my aunt but my sister, my mother figure, my best friend and my world. Anyone that knew Tory adored her and she was the most incredible, kind, caring, beautiful person.

Over the past 6 and a half years I’ve grown up wondering whether or not she’d be proud of me, wondering what advice she’d give me, and all the things we’d be doing now. But the one thing I do know, is that she’d want me to make all the memories she never got to. I’m determined to see the world and do the most amazing things for the both of us, and I know she’d be proud of that.

So on her birthday when she would have turned 38, I’m going to make one big memory for the both of us. I know that doing this in her name to raise money for where her son was cared for would mean so much to her and any donations are so greatly appreciated.

The funds raised for Gosset Ward have a rather big and specific target to pay for 2 brand new Kangaroo Chairs. These are chairs that fully recline allowing Mum’s and babies to have extremely important skin to skin contact. The cost for two chairs is £3437 and to be able to reach this target would be amazing. I know Tory would love that this is what the money is going towards. She would’ve been the most incredible Mum to Charlie and I know that raising money for this would mean the world to her.

So in short, please, please, please donate whatever you can and share this page and plug it as much as you can, and get ready to see the most hilarious video of me screaming my head off when I get thrown out of a plane on December the 5th.

    With so much love,

    Olivia xx
