Story
Charlotte Eades from Brighton was 19 years old when she died from glioblastoma, a form of brain cancer with no cure which kills 5,000 in the UK every year. There is no funding for research other than from charities, which is why Charlotte's BAG was established just a few months after her death in February 2016.
Charlotte was a student at Cardinal Newman Catholic School in Brighton, UK, and in her honour a group of staff are walking 52 miles overnight on road from London Charing Cross Station back to arrive at CNCS for the end of the school day on June 28th 2019.
We expect blisters, aches and pains - but that's nothing to what Charlotte went through. We're also hoping to raise at least £5,200 - £100 for every mile the 12 of us walk - to help fund vital research.
Without research, there will be no cure for glioblastoma. You can find out more about Charlotte herself here: www.youtube.com/charlotteeades, and about Charlotte's BAG, the registered charity set up in her name here: www.charlottesbag.com.
