Last year we were a host family for the Charity 'Chernobyl Childeren's Lifeline'. We hosted a little girl called Sabina from Chernobyl for 5 weeks to provide respite from the high levels of radiation that she is exposed to at home; to improve her health, and to provide her with vitamins, school supplies and clothes that she needed for the year. Sabina quickly became a part of the family,and we all absolutely fell in love with her, and were so sad when it was time for her to leave. We've been in continual contact with her this past year and she's been desperate to come back again this summer. Unfortunately, the charity is only able to fund a child's visit once so we are hosting a fundraiser in order to raise the money to pay for her flights and visa so she can come again this summer.
