What is crowdfunding?
Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.
The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.
Story
I have been selected to participate in an expedition to Ecuador, July-August 2017.
Some of what I will do:
Mountain bike a series of high altitude trails
Climb several High Andean Peaks
Canoe the upper reaches of the Amazon
Live on the beaches of the Pacific Coast
Cross the Valley of the Volcanoes
Obviously, all this comes with a big price tag. I am going to be doing various things to try and raise as much as I can towards it. Even after I have funded the cost of the trip itself, kit still needs to be bought, again draining more money.
