I've raised £10000 to ASSET, in memory of Gemma Pinnegar, and the ongoing alternative treatments for Ollie Jowett who was diagnosed with a brain tumour at 23.

I lead a team of 8 climbers who are ready to take on the 3 peak challenge with the aim of completing it within 24 hours to raise money for 2 great causes.
My good friend Ollie was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumour at the age of 21 and has the statistical prognosis of 5 years. Latest scans show the tumour has grown and conventional treatment on the NHS would prove too dangerous due to where the tumour is located. This leaves no option but to go down an alternative medicinal route, with Ollie's life at stake we must try our best to ensure he has a chance of beating it.
Ollie is a personal trainer who has dedicated his years to helping and inspiring others, and continues to do so.
Gemma Pinnegar passed away at the age of 21 in 2006. She had acute lymphoblastic leukaemia (ALL). She was diagnosed at the age of 19. Gemma's parents, Janice and Tony, who have become close friends, continue to work hard in ensuring eduction and awareness is improved to help save lives due to this condition. Money raised will go to the charity ASSET.
