With the closure of many Baby Clinics and Sure Start centres there is a need for places where new parents; and those with very young children can have a break and also get support and reassurance with the many struggles of family life.  Some playgroups in the area offer support and friendship but these run on set days in set locations, have restricted times, stop during holidays and are not able to offer fresh and healthy food options.  Although there are play facilities in the area, these are usually quite insular with little or no encouragement for parents to interact with their little ones or each other; they are expensive and there is also the risk of smaller children being bowled out of the way by older children.

The Ollie Polly Play Cafe provides a unique space dedicated for under 5's and babies. We encourage independent and sociable learning through play.

Parents and carers can relax, meet up with friends and other parents while enjoying a healthy lunch of breakfast from our menu without the usual stress that going to a regular cafe with a hungry toddler often brings. Little ones can experience safe and relaxed playtime, interacting with their peers
independenly but within a comfortable distance for parents and carers.

Adults have the much needed opportunity to build support networks.
