I am a parent from the PTA at our local primary school. I try very hard to support the school on my days off from full time work as a nurse.
Some parents have started a school gardening project. We have levelled parts of a small area at the back of the school grounds and built seven large planters, one for each class. We are a very small school with only one class per year, a total of less than 200 children.
Prior to the children using this, we need to feather fence the wire fencing to stop the brambles getting through on the boundry so its safe for the children. We would also like some weather proof hardboard sheets so the children can paint signs on, replacing the old damaged ones. The area also needs to be separated from the playground so we require a short length of picket fencing and a gate.

The school has been struggling and funds are very hard to come by.

Our small PTA funds have almost gone on just building the planters. Please help enrich the children's learning through a natural, playful and inspiring environment.
